High School Athlete Strength & Conditioning
Outdoor Workout Group -- Fall 2020
What: This 6-week program group is open to all female high school athletes looking to supplement their workouts to build physical strength and mental resilience in a safe small-group setting
When: Tuesdays at 4:30 - 5:45 pm
Dates: September 15, 22, 29, October 6, 13 & 20 (Make-up: October 27)
Where: Algonkian Park, Sterling, VA
Why should teens join this group?
Build strong physical strength and mental resilience.
A fun social atmosphere, while practicing safe physical distancing (10 participants max)
Learn what to eat (and when to eat it) for optimal health and athletic performance
CORE STRENGTH TRAINING: We will focus on building the "powerhouse" of your body to generate increased strength, agility, quickness and injury prevention for improved sports' performance. We will use a variety of strength & conditioning tools to work every part of your core!
YOGA & STRETCHING: I will lead the group through yoga and breath work to help them develop flexible strength and stretch sore muscles. This workout will teach mental strength and how to manage emotional discomfort and stress.
SPORTS NUTRITION: We will discuss the best nutrition for their bodies and the WHY behind what you eat and drink (and when) and how it relates to them. I will educate them on simple strategies and tools to add into each day that will help them to feel better physically and mentally.
Your Coach: Kristin DiDomenico is a certified personal trainer, nutrition and health coach, yoga instructor and cross country coach. She has also served as an assistant coach for strength & conditioning for HS girls lacrosse. With over 25 years as a personal trainer and wellness coach, she has coached and helped several high school athletes to to reach and surpass their goals in their sport by drawing on her vast knowledge, expertise and personal experience in sports and nutrition.
